Lorena Bailey is a Pathology Collection student with Health Industry Training. This is what Lorena had to say about her recent experiences studying through HIT.
The block training has been a huge learning time which has been informative and enjoyable. My confidence levels are so much higher than they were before I started my course and I feel ready to enter my life as a Pathology Assistant.
I would recommend HIT to anyone pursing a certification in any of the certificates they provide. The trainer has answered all my questions and I am very grateful for her knowledge and guidance.

Rowena Jackson is a Community Services graduate and Community Development student with Health Industry Training. This is what Rowena had to say about her recent experiences studying through HIT.
I’ve been around with a few different training providers in my time studying, but I knew when I stumbled across HIT that you were a quality provider in the sense that the training is very relevant to the industry, flexible and affordable. It meant I could study at home to actually develop my career, while working and caring for a sick family member, and I just couldn’t have done that with any of the other providers that I looked at.
It literally changed my life. I’d previously struggled to get ‘on top’ in my career having moved out of home at a young age and not being able to afford quality education to get into the next pay grade, let alone commit to a classroom style course when I needed to commit to extra hours of work at the same time to be able to afford it.
When I came on for my Cert IV, my first trainer actually helped me pick the units most relevant to my career goals, which really set me up for the following job roles that I took on and helped me get the income I needed to get out of that ‘level one’ or entry level position. It gave me, and the organisation I was working for at the time, the fresh ideas and practices we needed to improve and to do well. The communication has always been great too. The trainers are always (and have always been) able to help.
I’ve come back to HIT do my Diploma in Community Development because I’m looking at making another career change following my experiences in Community Services. HIT have been a primary factor in helping me keep best practice relevant at work and in my career, and I know I’ve made a HUGE difference to some of my clients who didn’t have a way out of a situation they were in- literally thanks to the training I’ve received at HIT. I know if I stay informed and keep up with my training and development that I’ll be able to influence some positive changes in the very near future.

One of our recent graduates of the Diploma of Leadership and Management joined HIT for flexible learning from her home in Victoria. This is what she had to to say about her time studying with us.
I just wanted to say, I am from Victoria and conducted a lot of research into my training provider due to bad past experiences, although hesitant to undertake learning from a QLD institute. I have been 100 percent impressed. In the beginning, all admin responses were prompt, informative and engaging, and my teacher, Karensa Reynolds, was outstanding. I was pleased she took the time to comment on each of my answers and reply to my emails quickly. Course content was what I had expected and I enjoyed learning such skills. I would not hesitate to recommend this institute or commence further learning, myself. Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and professional.
